Is it blog-worthy? Key factors to consider when launching a blog

Thinking about launching a blog? Here’s what we advise clients and prospective clients to consider.

These answers, along with other considerations, help determine clients’ most oft-asked question: cost.

Key factors to consider when launching a blog

Access to funding It’s better to post quality than quantity.

Competition

How active and frequent are competitors? Where (online) are they most active?

Goals Explaining features & benefits? Developing presence? Instilling trust? Looking to ignite a viral campaign?

Complexity How easy can someone grasp its usage? Helping someone visualize positive outcomes, more than a smiling model?

Unique stories to tell 14 uses for the product versus two variations of services.

Human element Is there feature article material? Is this something the Living Editor at the Globe would run on the section front?

These are just a few elements for consideration.  Even if you don’t think yours meshes with any of these, don’t fret.

We’re always happy to help!
